Taramundi has been traditionally produced in the region of Taramundi, Asturias. Taramundi is semi-soft, made by adding walnuts and hazelnuts to a raw cow milk paste. It presents a yellowish uniform and supple texture with uneven eyes. Endowed with milk aromas and a lack of acidity on the palate, this cheese offers a special mild and balanced flavor, slightly persistent, with roasted tones and nuts aftertaste.
Taramundi with walnuts and hazelnuts can be diced on salads or enjoyed as a dessert with sweet wines.
